Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is a common condition that can affect the whole body or certain areas. At Dr. Sylvia - The Skin GP we can treat excessive underarm sweating.

Book Consultation

It's normal to sweat if you get hot or are active. But you may be sweating excessively if you're sweating when your body does not need to cool down. Excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis can happen for no clear reason. It can be a debilitating condition where sufferers unnecessarily produce sweat, which causes anxiety and embarrassment that stops them from being able to enjoy their daily lives.

At Dr. Sylvia - The Skin GP we use injections on underarms to calm down overactive nerves that signal your sweat glands to produce more sweat. Results are person dependant, but this treatment is highly effective at resolving excess underarm sweating for 4 to 12 months.

Where do we start with your treatment?

All patients attending Dr. Sylvia- The Skin GP for aesthetic treatments are required to have an initial 30 minute consultation before any procedure is carried out. This appointment allows time to discuss your concerns and preferences, assess suitability for treatment, review relevant medical history, and agree a personalised treatment plan tailored to your goals.

The initial consultation lasts 30 minutes and costs €75. If treatment is undertaken following a consultation with Dr. Sylvia, a €50 deposit is paid and redeemable against the cost of your aesthetic procedure within 4 weeks. The consultation is unhurried and focused on informed decision-making, ensuring that any treatment offered is appropriate, safe, and aligned with your expectations.
